Goal
Feriel’s key requirements were :
1 - A minimal, clean, and modern UI with clear typography and generous spacing.
2 - A mobile-first design to prioritize performance and usability on smartphones.
3 - A blog section linked to her LinkedIn posts, to share articles and ideas seamlessly.
4 - A project showcase with essential details: title, description, tech stack, and live links.
5 - A simple, intuitive navigation structure to let users find what they need quickly.
my process
1 _ Discovery & Research
Held several meetings with Feriel to understand her personality, professional background, audience, and content priorities.
Defined clear user goals (showcase projects, read blog posts, contact her) and business goals (enhance her personal brand and online presence).
Collected inspiration references and created a quick style moodboard to visualize the design direction.
2 _ Information Architecture
Structured a simple and intuitive sitemap
Focused on minimizing navigation levels to make all content quickly accessible.
3 _ Wireframing
Designed low-fidelity wireframes to map out layouts, content hierarchy, and user flow.
Prioritized mobile screens first, ensuring elements are responsive and scalable for desktop.
4 _ UI Design
Developed high-fidelity UI designs based on the moodboard and feedback from Feriel.
Chose a clean, readable typeface and neutral color palette for clarity and focus.
Integrated micro-interactions (hover effects, smooth transitions) to enhance user experience.
5 _ Prototype & Feedback
Created an interactive Figma prototype to simulate navigation and interactions.
Conducted a design review session with Feriel to gather feedback and refine details.
Result
The final portfolio delivered a clean, minimal, and mobile-first website that reflects Feriel’s style. It showcases her projects clearly, connects her blog to LinkedIn, and offers both Light and Dark modes for a smooth user experience — with Feriel fully satisfied with the outcome.
